Summer Quilting Camps for Kids

 

Summer Sewing and Quilting Camps for young sewers to get creativity flowing!     Sew Much Fun!

Camps are for ages 8 – 12 years

​

Camp runs half days from Monday to Fridays either in the morning

from 9:00am to 11:30am or in the afternoon from 1:00pm to 3:30pm.    

 

Class sizes are limited to 5 sewers per session

 

The kids will have SEW much fun this summer, building confidence while learning a life skill.

Open to ages 8 to 12. Beginners are welcome.

 

Sewing machines and all supplies are included.  

 

Bring a water bottle with a spill-proof cap and a small snack for break.

 

Camp runs half days on Monday to Friday from 9am to 11:30 am or 1pm to 3:30pm.

 

Cost per session is $260.00, which includes all supplies to make a turned and tied quilt

 

Bring a water bottle with a spill-proof lid and a small snack to a 10 minute break.

 

 

Quilt- Size is approximately 44 x 52 inches. Quilt kits will be given the first day of camp. There will be 4 different options to choose from.

 

Skills Learned – Sewing machine basics. Sewing machine parts. How to thread a machine, wind a bobbin and load the bobbin.. Learn basic quilt piecing, pattern layout and how to tie a quilt.

 

Day one we will go over the sewing machine and safety and do some practice sewing on paper and fabric before starting with the quilt.

Refund Policy- No Refund if cancelled 3 day prior to camp start. Cancellations received prior to the 3 days start time will receive credit to apply to another camp or sewing lessons.

 

Conduct Policy - Students will behave in a way that demonstrates responsibility, respect and age appropriate maturity. Horseplay, dangerous behaviour, using material in an irresponsible manner etc,  is absolutely not allowed and any student conducting him or herself in a manner deemed dangerous will prompt a call to a parent
