Sewing opens up new doors to the world of self expression and creation and provides a powerful lifelong skill that can be passed on for generations to come.
Sewing should be fun and we make students feel comfortable expressing creativity. They will meet new friends and create memories that will last a lifetime.
Class size is kept small, ensuring plenty of room and personal attention for each student. All projects are completed in class time.
Registration is always ongoing for the sewing lessons. Booking and Payment buttons are below. Once you have booked a session your child will be placed to a day/time as to what is available and based on the child's age.

We will be teaching using the pattern book and patterns by The Kids Sewing Company, which is a kids educational sewing book produced in Canada. All new students will be required to purchase a lesson book and progress through all the levels. We do special projects for Christmas.

Boys and girls ages 6 - 12 learn basic sewing while making clothes they love to wear. Patterns include sewing and notions bags, shorts, pants, top and nightshirt. The unisex patterns which are included are multi-sized and easy to use. There are lots of pictures with easy to follow step-by-step instructions. Part 1 is written in simple language with all sewing terms explained in the glossary.

Classes end 5 mins early for clean up of their sewing space. Incoming students to the next class please do not come more than 5 mins early.
Level 2 Sewing Lesson Book & Patterns
Five to Nine patterns and lesson book $40
Kids learn more basic sewing techniques while making the clothes they'll live in! The patterns included in PART 2 are a drop sleeve sweatshirt, fitted and oversize raglan sleeve T-shirts, an optional peasant blouse with long or short sleeves, both stretch and non-stretch pants, shorts, capri's and board shorts. The students will choose which options they want on each garment (i.e. ribbing or hem, drawstring or elastic, patch pockets, cargo pockets or both, etc.) and make the finished product truly their own. The techniques covered are ribbing, twin needle and straight stretch stitch hemming, hoods, drawstrings, slits, patch pockets, kangaroo pockets and optional cargo pockets with flaps. PART 2 is written in simple language with an expanded glossary to include sewing terms from PART 1 and 2. Because the techniques are separated out into their own section, this book becomes an excellent reference book.

Level 3 Sewing Lesson Book
Lesson Book $35.00
Students learn more techniques while making clothes from commercial patterns. The techniques covered are darts, interfaced collars, exposed and lapped zippers, gathers and pleats, side seam pockets, set-in sleeves, buttonholes and bias binding. Every technique is explained in great detail with clear illustrations. This book is a great reference!
